Settlement Services Information Map - for newcomers and Regina community members, developed by SAISIA

Newcomer Settlement Services in Regina are provided by various organizations.

Services include needs assessments and referrals, language assessments, interpretation assistance and orientation, youth and family supports, employment services, language training, housing orientation, and information on life in Canada.  

Gateway services

  • Regina Newcomer Welcome Centre (registering for school, computer and telephone access, Provincial Language assessment, info on employment, education, interpretation, etc.)  
  • Any newcomer to Regina may access these services, regardless of the immigrant designation 
  • Staff speak many languages, and have access to interpretation services  

Settlement services 

  • available in many different languages, including English, French and Ukrainian
  • UCC - Ukrainian Canadian Congress) - Ukrainian
  • RODS (Regina Open Door Society) - staff speak many languages
  • RIWC (Regina Immigrant Women Centre) - staff speak many languages 

 Specialized Services (see Map below)

  • available at different organizations in Regina
  • some have limited scope, others have many programs

 

SAISIA (Saskatchewan Association of Immigrant Settlement and Integration Agencies) developed this (Map) of Services in Regina, indicating which agencies provide which services, and includiing website contact information.

Note: The Map was developed in early 2017 and will be updated as frequently as possible. Since map completion, some changes have occurred to service providers and programs.

This map is designed to be used by anyone interested, including those supporting newcomers and newcomers themselves.

It is a community resource to assist with newcomers settling in Regina.
