The information could be of value to those working or volunteering with newcomers, developing programs and resources or conducting research. This is not an exhaustive list of all available resources. - Saskatchewan Safety Council’s Community Resources Page - They have a wide variety of safety resources that cover many different topic areas applicable to newcomers.
- Asbestos and Natural Disasters Guide - Natural disasters such as wildfires, hurricanes, floods and tornadoes can damage asbestos-containing materials and lead to asbestos exposure among first responders, cleanup crews and nearby residents. Learn how to prevent asbestos exposure when preparing for and cleaning up after a natural disaster.
- Asbestos and Mesothelioma in Canada - Asbestos is a toxic fibrous mineral found in Canadian consumer and construction products. These include insulation, tiles, brake pads and cement. Canada banned asbestos in 2018. Yet, Canadians still risk mesothelioma cancer from exposure to any remaining asbestos fibers.

- Live Emergency Updates - Emergencies can occur at any time. Stay up to date with information from the Sask Public Safety Agency about emergencies such as wild fires, severe weather, etc.
- Download the SaskAlert App to receive emergency alerts from your area.
- Prepare for an Emergency - Individual and/or family emergency preparedness is so important because emergencies can occur at any time. Included on the 'Prepare for an Emergency' page is a make a plan template.
