Ukrainian Using Social Media to Highlight Adventures in New Home Province of Saskatchewan

A 19-year-old Ukrainian, new to Canada, is using TikTok to share his adventures in the country.

Highlights include his first time trying a number of iconic Canadian foods such as ketchup chips, poutine and perogy pizza!

Andrian Makhnachov came from Ukraine in May, to live with his two brothers already residing in in Regina.

Living in Canada was an adjustment for Andrian, but now his message to other Ukrainians in Canada is try and find the positives.

Saskatchewan will welcome a total of five humanitarian flights with displaced Ukrainians by the end of March 2023. That means other Ukrainians will have first-time experiences, like the ones Makhanachov is sharing with the world.
