June 2025 Special Events

Regina National Indigenous Peoples' Day 2025:

June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day. It is a time to recognize and celebrate the traditions, cultures, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis. National Indigenous Peoples Day takes place on the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. For generations, many First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities have celebrated their cultures, languages, and traditions at this time of year. The summer solstice holds deep spiritual and cultural significance for many Indigenous Peoples, marking a time of renewal, connection, and celebration. To learn more about NIPD, visit.

Join the Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Network (EDIN) on Friday, June 20, in Regina's Victoria Park from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm to celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day! For more information, visit.

World Refugee Day 2025:

Each year on 20 June, the world honours the strength and courage of people who have been forced to flee their home country to escape conflict or persecution. This year, World Refugee Day focuses on solidarity with refugees.

On June 18, 2025, join the Regina Open Door Society (RODS) at Pat Fiacco Plaza to recognize the strength, courage, and contributions of refugees who have made Regina their home.

Queen City Pride Parade 2025:

The annual Queen City Pride Parade is a signature event that fills Regina with rainbows, smiles, and pride. The Queen City Pride Parade has grown to become one of Regina’s most colourful and recognised parades, with over 4,000 participants marching through Regina’s streets.

The Pride Parades continue to be an important place to make our community’s presence known. The fight for 2SLGBTQIA+ rights and equity is still alive, and Pride is just one of the many ways in which we bring attention to these important issues. Our dancing, singing, and laughter are a celebration of the journey that our communities have taken to reach this point.
