RODS Employment Services: May Workshops, Food Safe Level 1 Certification

Regina Open Door Society (RODS) Employment Services is excited to announce their May 2026 workshops... 

Employment Readiness Workshops:

• start May 4th - various dates and times
• daytime and evening
• online/in-person

• Participants must demonstrate:

  CLB 4+ level English proficiency for daytime Employment Readiness workshops
  CLB 3+ level English proficiency for evening Employment Readiness workshops

Food Safe Level 1 Workshop:

• May 11 to 14, 2026
• 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• in-person
• Participants must demonstrate CLB 3+ level English proficiency for this workshop

This workshop prepares clients for the Food Safe Certification exam by presenting relevant knowledge and practical skills. Clients who complete the workshop will be eligible for the certification exam: May 19, 2026, 8 AM to 4:30 PM. 

Who can join?

• all newcomers to Canada (focusing on but not limited to newcomers within the past 5 years)
• aged 16 and above
• who experience cultural and or language/literacy barriers to employment. 

To enroll in the workshops, interested clients must:

1. be registered with RODS Employment Services (requires ICT Client number) and
2. meet with their RODS Employment Counselor for the workshop/certification needs assessment.
