Employer Resource Newsletter - info for employers on developing and supporting a diverse and newcomer-friendly workplace

One of the RRLIP's local priorities is supporting the employment of newcomers. Regina’s employer community is vital to the labour and economic integration of newcomers in Regina.
A key objective is to support employers in strengthening their workforce diversity strategies. We understand the time and investment needed to recruit, hire, and train employees is not insignificant. The RRLIP, together with numerous community partners, has developed an Employers Newsletter called Newcomer Workforce: An Employers Resource, to support employers as they diversify their workforce.
These quarterley publications not only highlight labour market related information, but also focus on the other pieces of the puzzle that support newcomers in their settlement and integration efforts. For example, you may find articles about grants available to employers hiring newcomers; information about internationally trainied workers; supports available for newcomer workers - both pre-arrival, and after arriving in Saskatchewan (immigrant-serving agencies), as well as community programs and training you can offer to your workforce.

Other info to support Employers can be found on the Employer Resources page
Another key objective in advancing the employment priority is to support workforce development by highlighting local employment events (e.g job fairs, employment workshops, networking events, training opportunities, etc.).
The Employment Events page is continually being updated with new information.
Employers, as well as local employment training/settlement agencies can submit information about hiring opportunities, job fairs, etc.
