Dancing is an important aspect of many cultures.  Metis communities are famous for their jigging skills.  Understanding and learning dance traditions is a great way of making contact with those of different backgrounds and cultures.

In this workshop, sponsored by New Dance Horizons, you will learn the basics of traditional Metis Jigging and also some of the patterns of square dancing. You can expect to learn; the basic step, the red river jig, and a simple square dance.

This class is open to those who are interested in jigging & square dancing, whether you are a dancer, or just a curious individual, all are welcome.
