International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination Activities - Free Documentary Film and Discussion!

Saskatchewan Intercultural Association invites you to join in observing a short film in honor of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.

This is part of the annual Reel to Real film festival! On Thursday, March 17th, there will be a screening of the short film 'Enemy Alien'.

Enemy Alien (1975, directed by Jeanette Lerman) is a documentary that tells of the frustration and injustice experienced by Japanese Canadians, who fought long and hard to be accepted as Canadians.

This screening will feature a panel discussion, providing education and additional context to the film.

*Please note that this film contains references to sensitive topics, in particular the internment of Japanese-Canadians. Resources and support will be available for any viewers who may need it.*
