Newcomer Opportunity: Personal Care Worker Prep Workshop & Certification

RRLIP is pleased to share information about the upcoming in‑person Personal Care Worker Preparation Workshop organized by the Regina Open Door Society.  This course offers knowledge and skills needed to take care of basic needs of residents in health care facilities or private homes.

Who can join?

• all newcomers to Canada (focusing on but not limited to newcomers within the past 5 years)
• aged 16 and above who experience cultural and or language/ literacy barriers to employment
• must demonstrate a CLB 5+ level of English proficiency

Workshop details:
Date:  February 2-6, 2026
Time:  11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

This workshop prepares clients for the Personal Care Worker Certification exam by presenting relevant knowledge and practical skills. Clients who complete the workshop will be eligible for the certification exam (in-person) on February 9-10, 2026 from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
