Indigenous Cloud is an online Indigenous cultural streaming service.
Launched in 2019, it was revamped in November to help promote all types of content creators such as podcast-makers and those making documentaries.
Currently, the platform has been expanded to have technological capabilities of providing Indigenous education lessons, teaching Indigenous languages as well as music lessons, and
looking at the possibilitty of broadcasting community events through the app like rodeos, horse racing, music festivals, powwows and Indigenous arts and crafts.
Indigenous Cloud is a family-run project. This Indigenous run project is passionate about the distribution and the preservation of Indigenous music and media in North America and around the world. Founders Jeffrey and Wyatt Parker have been immersed in the Indigenous music and culture industries since they were young children. Working closely with their father, George Parker (in Saskatchewan) they have developed an online media management portal for music distribution. The online platform offers North American Indigenous artists, musicians, craftspeople, and performers a way to showcase their talent and productions while simultaneously educating listeners and preserving Indigenous culture, languages, and traditions.
