The RRLIP is pleased to share the following events and information that promote cultural bridging:
Anti-racism in Action: A community workshop
Hosted by Unitarian Fellowship of Regina Reconciliation Action Group
Sunday September 29 at 2:00 to 4:30 PM, in-person at the Unitarian Centre, 2700 College Avenue, Regina SK
Ages 10-110 are welcome to attend the anti-racism workshop and discover ways to actively combat racism in daily life. The UOR Reconciliation Action Group will guide participants to identify actions to reduce interpersonal and systemic racism. Melody Wood, Special Projects Team Lead with Aboriginal Friendship Centres of Saskatchewan will be our guest speaker. Funded by an MCoS grant. Details and REGISTER NOW on Eventbrite. National Day for Truth and Reconciliation: Sept 30
Each year, September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day.
The day honours the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. Public commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools is a vital component of the reconciliation process.
This federal statutory holiday was created through legislative amendments made by Parliament, and acknowledged in SK starting in 2021.
The Royal Sask Museum in Regina will be hosting some events in honor of this occasion.

Regina Public Library Exhibit and Hours - Sept. 30th
In acknowledgement of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, RPL will host Echoes From
This Land: Visioning Truth and Reconciliation on September 30 at Central Library. This exhibit
encourages viewers to reflect on the visual interpretations of the 94 Calls to Action for
Truth and Reconciliation by Indigenous and non-Indigenous artists and creators.
The exhibit will be open from 11:00am until 2:00pm.
Most Regina Public Library (RPL) locations will be open Monday September 30 from 9:30am
to 5:00pm. Glen Elm and Connaught Branches are regularly closed on Mondays.
All RPL locations will resume regular hours on Tuesday, October 1.
