Upcoming Employment Programs

RRLIP is pleased to share upcoming employment programs by Regina Open Door Society (RODS)

Food Safe (in-person) workshop

October 21 – October 24, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

This workshop prepares clients for the Food Safe Certification exam by presenting relevant knowledge and practical skills. Clients who complete the workshop will be eligible for the certification exam on  October 25, 2024, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

The Food Safe workshops are accessible to all newcomers to Canada (focusing on but not limited to newcomers within the past 5 years) aged 16 and above who experience cultural and or language/ literacy barriers to employment.

Participants must also demonstrate a CLB 3+ in English proficiency. 

To enroll in the workshop, interested clients must be registered with Employment Services and meet with their Employment Counselor for the workshop/ certification need assessment. If not registered, please register here or contact us at (306)-352-3521 or employment@rods.sk.ca

MS Word Fundamentals workshop 

October 15 – October 18, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

This online class will provide a thorough introduction to Microsoft Word. Participants will learn how to create and format documents, with a focus on job search tools such as resumes and cover letters.

The MS Word Fundamentals workshop is accessible to all newcomers to Canada (focusing on but not limited to newcomers within the past 5 years) aged 16 and above who experience cultural and or language/ literacy barriers to employment.

Understanding of basic computer skills is required. Participants must also demonstrate a CLB 4+ in English proficiency.

To enroll in the workshop, interested clients must be registered with Employment Services and meet with their Employment Counselor for the workshop need assessment.
