SK Artist Shares Heartful Stories of Her Art at Government House

This Sunday afternoon, visit the exhibit in the Queen Elizabeth II (QEII) Art Gallery at Government House: “A Grandmother’s Love,” - meet the artist and learn the heartwarming story behind the art from artist Michele Rogers at this weekend’s artist reception.

Michele Rogers believes that as we evolve and continue to become more and more intertwined in the technology world, we are beginning to lose our stories, our roots, our values, and the deepest part of where we came from. She has painted pieces portraying grandmothers and each one told her their story as she painted.  As she listened to their stories, the tears came, the emotions were deeply felt and she was in awe of how each one touched her soul.
