RRLIP supports Black History Month 2026

February marks Black History Month 2026, and the Regina Region Local Immigration Partnership (RRLIP) is proud to stand in solidarity with Black communities as Canada commemorates 30 years of officially recognizing Black History Month.
This year’s national theme — “30 Years of Black History Month: Honouring Black Brilliance Across Generations — From Nation Builders to Tomorrow’s Visionaries” — was announced by the Government of Canada on January 7, 2026. The theme highlights the lasting contributions, leadership, creativity, and resilience of Black Canadians who have shaped the country’s past and continue to influence its future.
RRLIP joins this national celebration by uplifting stories that acknowledge the richness and diversity within Black communities, including their more than 400-year presence on these lands and their ongoing impact across culture, innovation, community building, and social justice.
Alongside partners and community members in Regina, RRLIP is committed to promoting inclusion, amplifying Black voices, and supporting events and initiatives that celebrate Black excellence.
