National Day for Truth and Reconciliation - Sept 28th, 2023
The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is an important day in Canada - holding great significance for survivors and communities affected by the Indian residential school system.
The day commemorates the history and legacy of residential schools, and honors the resilience, dignity, and strength of survivors and intergenerational survivors.
In Regina, and across Canada, various activities are organized on and around this day, to promote reflection, education, and awareness about the history and ongoing impacts of residential schools.
To take part in meaningful events across this community, such as Orange Shirt Day Walk and BBQ, consult Reconciliation Regina for a listing of events.
