International Francophonie Day 2026: Activate Your Francophonie!

March 20 marks International Francophonie Day, a celebration of the French language and the diversity of Francophone cultures worldwide. This year’s theme, “Activate Your Francophonie,” encourages people to engage with the French language, connect with Francophone communities, and take part in cultural activities throughout March.
For the Regina Region Local Immigration Partnership (RRLIP), this theme aligns with its work in supporting Francophone newcomers and promoting multilingualism in the region. Regina’s Francophone community continues to contribute to cultural vitality, newcomer integration, and cross‑cultural understanding.
As we celebrate, RRLIP encourages partners and residents to explore local Francophonie events, highlight French‑language services, and continue building an inclusive community where Francophone newcomers feel welcomed and supported.
