Food Safe Level 1 Workshop by Regina Open Door Society

RRLIP is pleased to share a Food Safe Level 1 (In-Person) Workshop hosted by Employment Services, the Regina Open Door Society (RODS), which is taking place from December 5 to December 11, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
This interactive workshop is designed to prepare participants for the Food Safe Certification Exam, which will be held on December 12, 2025, between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM.
Why Attend the Food Safe Workshop?
Food Safe Level 1 is an essential certification for anyone pursuing a career in the food service or food preparation industry. This workshop provides foundational knowledge in:
- Food handling and sanitation
- Preventing foodborne illnesses
- Safe receiving and storage practices
- Proper preparation and serving techniques
- Effective cleaning and sanitizing methods
- Participants will gain practical skills that help them enter or advance in the food industry with confidence and safety awareness.
This workshop is open to:
- Newcomers to Canada (focused on, but not limited to, those who arrived within the last 5 years)
- Individuals 16 years of age or older
- Participants who have CLB 3+ English proficiency
- Those experiencing cultural and/or language/literacy barriers to employment
- Individuals with a career goal in the food or food-preparation industry
