Mental Health Matters

Updates

Starting a new life in a new country can be challenging. A new culture, unfamiliar environment, language barriers, and being away from family and familiar support systems can sometimes feel overwhelming and even traumatic. Often, we may not know where to turn or where to find help. Mental health matters, and you do not have to face these challenges alone.
For newcomer mothers, the journey can be especially difficult. Postpartum depression (PPD), combined with adjusting to a new country without close family members nearby, can make an already challenging period even harder.
There are resources and mental health supports available to help. Take a moment to explore the resources available and reach out when you need support.

At RRLIP, we are always here to support newcomers, share knowledge, and help connect you with resources that can make your settlement journey a little easier.
You are not alone. Support is available, and reaching out is a strength.
