Newcomer families are invited to participate in a FREE Winter Camp for kids 6-12 years old.

The camp will take place during spring break (from February 16 - 19) and is available for permanent residents who are able to speak and understand French.

While it is specifically for children 6-12 years old, siblings of other ages are welcome to participate as well.

In the morning, children will participate in one-hour virtual workshops and do crafts on the following topics:

  • Winter Animals in Canada,
  • Winter Birds in Canada,
  • Winter Sports in Canada.

In the afternoon, children and their families can participate in various activities such as:

  • observation game,
  • winter art,
  • slides,
  • construction and decoration of a bird feeder.

Material kits will be provided to the participating families, at no cost.
