🌍 Recognizing International Day of the World’s Indigenous People 🧡

August 9 is International Day of the World’s Indigenous People. Today, we honor, respect, and celebrate the rich cultures, histories, languages, and vital contributions of Indigenous Peoples—both here on Treaty 4 Territory / homeland of the Métis and around the globe.

As an organization dedicated to building an inclusive and welcoming community, RRLIP recognizes that true inclusion requires learning, listening, and honoring Indigenous sovereignty and rights.

Let’s take time today to:

✨ Support Indigenous-owned local businesses

✨ Learn about local First Nations and Métis history and traditions

✨ Listen to Indigenous voices and stories
