Personal Care Worker (PCW) Workshop & Certification Exam
The Personal Care Worker Workshop prepares participants with the knowledge, skills, and vocabulary needed to care for residents in healthcare facilities or private homes. Successful participants will be eligible to take the Personal Care Worker Certification Exam immediately following the training.
Eligibility:
- Newcomer to Canada (within the past 5 years, but not limited to this group)
- 16 years of age or older
- English level of CLB 5+
- Registered with Employment Services
Workshop Dates: October 14 – 24, 2025
Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (in-person)
Certification Exam: October 27 – 28, 2025 | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Employment Readiness Workshops
Starting October 2025, RODS Employment Services is offering an updated schedule of daytime and evening workshops. These workshops are designed to help newcomers overcome cultural, language, and literacy barriers to employment while gaining practical job readiness skills.
Eligibility:
- Newcomers to Canada (within the past 5 years, but not limited to this group)
- 16 years of age or older
- CLB 4+ for daytime workshops
- CLB 3+ for evening workshops
- Registered with Employment Services
Workshops are available both online and in-person, making them accessible to more participants.
Career Bridging Program
The Career Bridging Program helps internationally trained professionals and skilled newcomers transition into careers aligned with their education and experience. The program begins on October 21, 2025, and interested participants are encouraged to attend an upcoming online information session: Participants are asked to register for one session only from following.
Session 1: September 29, 2025, at 10:00 AM
Session 2: October 2, 2025, at 2:00 PM
Session 3: October 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM
