Regina Elections for Mayor, Councillors and School Boards! October 26th!

The Regina Municipal Election will be held on October 26th!  The people of Regina will choose their Mayor, Councillors, and School Board members!

 

 

 

 To vote, you must:

  • be a Canadian citizen.
  • be the full age of 18 years or will attain the full age of 18 years on or before election day.
  • not have already voted at this election (at the advance poll, by mobile, special poll or mail-in ballot)
  • have lived in Regina at least 3 months (or owned property)
  • have lived in Saskatchewan at least 6 months

Polls are open from 9am to 8 pm.  

Important Dates! 
Advance Polls: Wednesday, October 19 to Saturday, October 22
Deadline to apply for mail-in ballot: Election Day, Wednesday, October 26 (Ballot must be received by 8 p.m. that night at the Elections Regina Office)
Deadline to apply for mobile poll: Wednesday, October 5
Mobile Poll: Wednesday, October 19 to Saturday, October 22
Election Day: Wednesday, October 26

Everyone must register to vote!  

To save time on election day,

1)  download the voter registration form here  (a copy of the information needed is below)

2) fill out the form at home

3) bring the completed voter registration form to the poll

4) bring government-issued photo ID that clearly shouw your name and address  A list of acceptable ID can be found here

Complete the following by placing an “X” in the box to the left of each statement that is correct:
 1 I am a Canadian citizen.
 2 I am the full age of 18 years or will attain the full age of 18 years on or before election day.
 3 I have not already voted at this election.

School Division Voters

1. On the day of the election, I:
(a) have resided for at least three consecutive months immediately preceding the
day of the election in the:
 (i) Regina Public School Division No. 4; or
 (ii) Regina Separate School Division No. 81, and I am of the religious faith of
the minority that established the separate school division;
(b) qualify as a voter of that school division; and
(c) have resided in Saskatchewan for at least six consecutive months immediately preceding the
day of the election.

Municipal Voters

2. On the day of the election:
(a) I: (complete one)
 (i) have resided for at least three consecutive months immediately preceding the
day of the election in the City of Regina; or
 (ii) have been the owner for at least three consecutive months immediately
preceding the day of the election of assessable land situated in the municipality;
and
(b) I have resided in Saskatchewan for at least six consecutive months immediately preceding the
day of the election.
