Youth Employment Training - Information Sessions - Oct. 27 & 28
The Youth Employment and Skills Strategy (YESS) Program is a 14-week PAID Employment Skills Training Program That Helps Youth Develop the Skills and Experience to Become Successfully Employed.
The YESS Program combines eight weeks of paid classroom training with six weeks of paid work placement.
The in-class employment skills training will start on November 23rd and will go until January 26th.
The classroom schedule will be Monday to Friday 9:00 am - 2:00 pm.
Work placements will be arranged with local employers and the dates will be determined by the the employer.
To be eligible for this program you must be:
- an immigrant youth aged 15 to 30,
- a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or refugee,
- assessed at a CLB 5 or higher,
- unemployed with barriers to gaining employment.
