RRLIP is pleased to share the upcoming employment events offered by our Community Partners:

Tailoring Your Resume with South Saskatchewan Independent Living Center (SSILC) 

Are you looking for a job? Make sure your resume stands out! SSILC is offering a free Resume Tailoring Workshop to help job seekers enhance their resumes and better match job postings.

What you’ll learn:

  • How to identify important keywords in job postings
  • How to use SMART statements to strengthen your resume
  • Effective resume writing techniques
  • Tips and insights from fellow participants

Workshop Details:

Dates: February 26 & 27, 2025
Time: 9:30 AM – 12:00 Noon
Location: SSILC Office, 349 Albert St, Regina

Who Can Join?

Must have a completed resume
Be ready to participate and engage in discussions
Must have a SSILC Employment Facilitator

Employment Readiness Workshops at Regina Open Door Society (RODS)

RODS will kick off March with an updated lineup of Employment Readiness Workshops from Employment Services! These workshops, offered both in-person and online, are designed to help newcomers build essential skills for the job market.

Who Can Join?

These workshops are accessible to all newcomers to Canada, with a focus on those who have arrived within the last five years and are 16 years or older. If you experience language, literacy, or cultural barriers to employment, these workshops are for you!

Language Proficiency Requirements

Daytime workshops: Require CLB 4+
Evening workshops: Require CLB 3+


How to Register

To enroll, you must be registered with Employment Services and meet with an Employment Counselor for a workshop/certification needs assessment.

Drop in Resume Basics by Regina Public Library (RPL)

RPL has some existing resume programming aimed at folks wanting higher level assistance with resume editing.

What RPL offers:

  • needing assistance in the basics sometimes just getting started 
  • folks with no existing resume to begin with, no access to technology or lack of tech skills for creating resumes,
  • those that have been out of the workforce for a long time, those needing extra time and assistance to identify their skills, etc.
  • Volunteers are trained to offer patience and empathy and extra time in getting people started with resume basics.
  • RPL can offer free printing of copies of the resumes as well, and assistance in scanning/emailing them.

RPL starting this biweekly as a pilot, and if there’s demand, we are happy to increase the offerings.
