Blackcellence Gala 2022 - July 16 - Fundraiser for Black in Sask and City Kidz

Greetings on behalf of the Blackcellence Gala 2022 Organizing Committee!

The first annual Blackcellence Gala will be hosted by Saskatchewan's very own
Black in Saskatchewan Society Inc. (“Black in Sask”) and Akwaaba Foods Ltd. The Gala is an evening dedicated to celebrating the achievements and contributions of Saskatchewan’s Black community.

As a non-profit organization, Black in Saskatchewan’s mission is to contribute to the holistic growth of the Black community in Saskatchewan by addressing systemic issues, connecting members to various networks, and educating on Black experiences.

Akwaaba Foods is a locally owned and operated company in Regina, Saskatchewan which specializes in West-African dishes and sauces.

In a commitment to strengthening the community-building capacity of youth, the proceeds from the event will be directed towards Black in Sask & City Kidz Regina. Your generosity will support Black in Sask in their mission, "to contribute to the holistic growth of the Black community in Saskatchewan and beyond by addressing systemic issues, connecting members to various networks, and educating on Black experiences". 

This year, the organizing committee has selected CityKidz Regina as a co-recipient of proceeds from the event in continuation of the support  provides to the organization. Our aim is to contribute to their mission and our collective responsibility of, "seeing a future free of child poverty, where all children have equal opportunity to thrive and achieve their full potential".
