Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is the Federal government branch that oversees, manages, and funds many Canadian programs and organizations providing services to immigrants and refugees.

IRCC funds Regional Gateways, Settlement Agencies, Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC), Local Immigration Partnership programs (LIPs), and other valuable services.

IRCC is also responsible for Canadian citizenship, permanent resident cards and visas.  The website provides information about how to start your life in Canada,  what services are available to help near your location or what to expect for your first tax year. Many publications are available for downloading.
