Volunteers Needed to Help Newcomer Children with Their Schoolwork

The Settlement Support Workers in Schools (SSWIS) Program is looking for volunteers to help with their Homework Club program.

Volunteers are required to help students from grades 4 - 8 in the following schools:  

• École Harbour Landing School  (Mondays 3:45pm - 5:15pm)
• St. Augustine Community School  (Wednesdays 3:30pm – 4:45pm) 


*Volunteers who are high school students (under 18 years of age) do not need to provide a criminal record check or vulnerability sector check. 

*Volunteers over 18 years must follow the volunteer requirements set by the school board, which includes providing a criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
