Interested in Learning How Your Organization Can Sponsor Refugees to Canada?

The Refugee Sponsorship Training Program is offering to provide on information session on How to Become a Sponsorship Agreement Holder (SAH), for local organizations interested in becoming ongoing refugee sponsors.

Sponsorship Agreement Holders sign a formal contract with the Canadian Government and are able to sponsor refugees that they identify themselves.

Note that to become a SAH, you MUST:
• Be an incorporated / registered organization
• Have the financial capacity to meet sponsorship commitments
• Understand and uphold the objectives of the Private Sponsorship of Refugees program
• Have a strong volunteer base
• Pass a security review
*Most Sponsorship Agreement Holders are religious, ethnic, community, or humanitarian organizations*

The trainig would take place on January 15th or January 18th.

IF you are interested in learning how to become a SAH, please contact the Regina Region Local Immigration Project (RRLIP) as soon as possible. IF we do not hear from interested groups, this session will be cancelled.
